 I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THEY CAN'T SET IT UP LIKE A COUPLE OF YRS AGO.
I LIKED WHAT I SEEN LAST NITE BUT AFTER THE SECOND HOUR IT IS KIND OF BORING.
THIS WILL BE MY LAST TIME "DEALING" WITH BCN.
I WAS A PRETTY GOOD SUPPORTER OF THEM ALSO...THE FIRST BROADCAST
BACK AT THE DCC I WON A SARDO RACK FROM THEM :D ..USE IT EVERYDAY.
BUT THEY WILL NEVER SEE MY CC # AGAIN.

Bcn

What happened to make you angry? Should I sign up? What should I expect?

I agree. I watched the previous broadcasts, and was much more interested in what was goin on between matches. This 'edited for ESPN' type of broadcast sucks. It's nice to see the feature matches live, but I also enjoyed the freedom to come home from work @ 5pm, tune in, can't sleep? turn on BCn, wake up earlier than expected in the morning, and turn it on just to see what was goin on, kinda made me feel like I was actually there.

If they continue to only show the matches they choose 2 or 3 times a day, I will not pay the 15 bux again. I'd rather watch ESPN for that type of show. It's hard to schedule oddball times (3pm, 9pm, etc) to sit down and enjoy the Open.

BCn PLEASE leave the broadcast running most of the day, make us feel we're getting more than what we're paying for.

*Also one little suggestion, have some type of forum or live chat available so we can discuss when stuff happens, and even help ourselves on technical issues. Many viewers are probably still waiting for authorization to post here in AZ.

Let's see -- Only $15 (with a portion of that going to hurricane victims) for a dozen plus matches live, all the 2005 US Open stuff archived, and all of last year's matches archived.

Y'all sound like a bunch of nits to me. You can't even buy a single Accu-Stats tape for $15.

I agree

Some people just need something to complain about. how can they run an uninterrupted feed all day and night. What if a match gets over with earlier than other matches. Say the 8 pm match gets over with around 9:30. what are you going to lok at for the next 1/2 hour when the 10pm match starts. an empty table and just people walking around? they will have the matches archived for you to watch them. or would you rather go back to the pay per view format and have it cost twice as much? try to just enjoy it for what it is. A great tournament.............................................mike

cueball, the they pretty much did that at last year's dcc, and it was great. You really felt like you were at the event. This isn't bad, but I agree, I would not pay 15 bucks for this again (I can get the matches from dc++ anyway hehe). If they leave the camera on, and allow people (preferably money players or pros) to practice or gamble on the main table, then you are really getting your money's worth. I am sure there are technical issues to overcome, but it worked spectacularly with the DCC. I was glued to the computer, and afterwards felt like I had been to the event.

I'm not sure why some are having trouble with the feed from the U.S. Open. I do know that Rob Sykora is here on site and is working 24/7 to keep it going strong. The equipment that is here between BCn and Accu-Stats is very high tech.

The Chesapeake Conference Center which is the venue site may not be as high tech as BCn and Accu-Stats, IMHO, and the live feed may be experiencing glitches from time to time due to the marrying-up of the two entities, high tech versus what is available here on site for them to work with.

I think it is a good thing that they are offering the live feed, and I believe in my heart that they are working dilligently to make it smooth and easy for the viewers back home. So try to be patient and let them iron out the wrinkles. Sometimes in the world of high-tech, there are some things that are beyond one's control, no matter how hard you try to make things happen right.

I am grateful for BCn and Accu-Stats in this pool world. They do try hard to bring the BEST to the pool public, and I'm happy that they are here. JMHO, FWIW!

I'm just saying they spoiled us with the DCC, 9.95 (if I remember correctly) for 24/7 coverage. I didn't even have to head to a pool room during those days. Unfortunately my job didn't allow me to see the DCC in person, but I had the next best thing. And yea, I enjoyed the 30 minutes after a match ended when Landon Sheffette* came up and ran racks. Or when they zoomed into Ralph Souquet playing.

I'm not complaining about the dollar amount, I'm complaining about the fact that we got more for less before. I don't mind 15 bux. And for one thing, no one's sure how much is going to the Katrina victims. I hope it's announced later. That's neither here nor there.

They gave us alot back in the day, and now it just seems limited. Once again I've had to try tuning in again and again. 9:22pm yesterday night, 3 something this afternoon. If it was left running we'd jus sit down tune in, and wait. We're pool junkies, we don't mind staring at a empty table waiting for action. Heck that's probably what we all do in the pool room anyways.

are you serious???? are you people BITCHING about 15 whole bucks to watch at least 13 matches?????

you guys must be the same people who only order water, and tip 6 percent at resturaunts.......

i doubt that the 15 bucks they are getting from people even comes close to helping out with the production costs.

its stuff like this that has stopped me from posting much on here.

Thankyou BCn, I've been VERY pleased with the coverage tonight, not only did you turn on the feed early enough to watch a lil Allen Hopkins, but your also letting us watch a second match. This reminds me more of the DCC feed.

(And to everyone who thinks we're complaining about the dollar amount, we're not, geez, get a clue.)

DO WE GET THE MCCREADY AND VAN BOENING MATCH?

I agree about the DCC feed vs. the US Open feed. I like the DCC model MUCH better. I would have gladly paid $30 for that type of feed as opposed to a scheduled thing.

Here's the rub with the $15 vs. 13 matches. Not everyone can watch those matches at the times they are broadcast. The 2004 matches are cut up for god knows what reason. I mean it's not outside the boundries of reason to expect to see commercials on the archived matches but WHY cut the matches? What possible reason is there to have to SUFFER crappy ESPN-like cutting of the matches. I paid my $15 partly to get to watch Efren play and after each commercial the match jumped a few games or they come back in and the player is shooting the last two balls - no replays, no slow-mos. Wasn't there a promise somewhere of being able to view every shot of the matches?

If not there ought to be!

I watched the entire World Championship final and got to see EVERY BALL - LIVE. Not only that, they had at least an hour of pre and post production filler that was highly entertaining.

I know that AccuStats and BCN together can provide this - why they don't is a mystery to me.

Anyway - I hope to be by a broadband connection later in the week to catch some of the action I paid for. Otherwise I guess I'll just have to digest the "condensed" version that BCN wants to feed me. And NO I don't want to buy a DVD.

Rob, PLEASE get rid of the stupid blimp. It's dumb and annoying. I know it might have been cute the first time you did it but it's really creepy after the second time. THAT alone made me turn the sound off to watch the matches.
