I woke up this morning to find an very nice short Email from Mike Shamos of "Billiards Digest". I thought I'd like to share it and my reply to him with all the Carom members, we good all use a little positive feed back about now!

Mike; I really feel honored that you deam my work worthy of special recognition In the January issue of "Billiards Digest"! As I and the few remaing last generation of players (pre Sang Lee), I wanted to leave some kind of lasting form of instruction for the "NEW GEN" players.
I tried to blend some "Old-style" winning moves to the "Modern-aggressive" position plays that seems to be the norm.
Some of the younger players in the US have much talent, but lack the "take no prisoners" attitude during important matches. The one thing I prided myself in thoughout my career was, I NEVER gave up till the last point was scored, and even in many cases I didn't have the highest average, at the end of the tournament, but, "I knew how to WIN!"
Mike, I've enjoyed reading your informative articles throughuot the years on the history of this facinating game that lured me into it's web over 45 years ago. Always learning, and still the heart of a Champion, with the will to WIN!
