Yay...sounds very promising for the next generation of Filipino wizards. Hopefully, we* can soon overtake the bountiful youth of Taiwan.

*I'm actually Filipino-American (born in Chicago), but I can still say "we", right?

And yes just recently Hilto Spa and Hotel and condiminium officially opened in Mactan...and i think it was a georgeous hotel much like Plantation Bay and Shangrila hotel.
You know Joey i once was thinking that if ever the Philippines is going to host the WPC i think it should be held in Mactan..so that the world could see the beautiful hotels and beaches there...not to mention the world famous guitars, furniture making there..and so the wherein the first foreign invader (Magellan) i think in whole of Asia was utterly vanquished and conquered by the local chieftain Lapu-Lapu. Also there are many good players coming from this island you know...we have Antonio "Gaga" Gabica, Warren Kiamco, Rubilen Amit and host of others during the time of Efren..anyway so much for that..he.he.he :D ;)
 
Id love to go, If the people there are anything like the guy I know from teachers village I wouldnt second quess it...

What really would be nice is for Cebu and Mactan being their own independent state. :eek:
Cebu and Mactan would become like Singa, Taiwan and HK.
An economic powerhouse. Oh, the potential of Cebu and Davao. :rolleyes:
Ok, time to save some dollars and invest in Mactan and Guimaras islands.

People from Cebu and fun-loving people.
Because of their old Spanish influenced tradition, the elderly and guests are given respect.
Just ask Sherm Adamson how lovely the people of the Philippines way south of the big island of Luzon. :-)
He loved it so much, he kidnapped a lady from there. :)
