Billiards University test

Thanks Dave.

The dog never leaves my side :)

Notice Jonah looks away as I enter the iTunes password for the app he wanted. He racked up $35 in charges when he was 4 :)

Excellent shooting. You should give yourself a few extra points for having your dog run around your feet and being so nice to your son while beginning your set. He's adorable.

Work on Exam I first so you will know which Exam II is appropriate for you. For more info, see the BU Exam resource page.

And when you are done with an entire run through, please post your scores on the AZB BU thread, where others have their results posted. If video is possible, please include that also.
Okay, I'll try Exam I tomorrow. Looking at it right now, the two I think I'll have the toughest time with are the last two (Wagon Wheel and Grid Target).
I look forward to seeing how you do on your first full attempt.

FYI, if you want some advice on how to do well on the wagon wheel and target pool drills, check out these online videos:

NV C.5 - Wagon wheel cue ball control drill, from VEPP II
NV D.10 - Draw Shot Trisect Aiming System - from Vol-II of the Billiard University instructional DVD series
NV D.11 - Cue Ball Control Target Pool Drill - from Vol-II of the Billiard University instructional DVD series

Good luck,
Dave

This could have been a 100 except for 2 brain cramps…ended up 93.

Great control (and bravery) on the final 4 ball. Deserved what you got after that. No sympathy on the 10 ball you missed - the damage was done by butchering the 8 down the rail, which defied gravity in dropping. That type of shot is a momentum killer, whether it drops or not.

You break fantastically well, which is half the battle against the ghost.

Why are you after a new cue BTW? I like your extension lol.

You are right - that 8 was hit bad.

I try different cues out a lot - and yes the extension is great.

Jonah is starting to play but like most 8 year olds he is busy.

FYI, for those interested in the draw-shot trisect system, Bob Jewett and I just posted a new video showing an alternative way to apply it, in this case for carom (billiard) shots. Here it is:

We welcome comments and questions,

The Ghost Drill App for Android

Hi guys. I made an android app for logging your score on the ghost drill. It's for 10 racks of 9 ball. The rating system is derived from Dr. Dave's ranking. It's my first android app, but one of several that I want to make because I love pool! Please let me know any suggestions, bugs, etc. Thank you!

Nice shooting! Remind me not to gamble w you.

I did notice Jonah averting his gaze, figured there was a story behind that. He has some nice dance moves too.
