Billys Response

Outbursts like that are what makes a rather mundane game fun again.
I've seen things like that and worse in person in pool rooms.
I once saw a professional tennis instructor chase and throw pool balls at guy all around the room.
The reason I mention tennis is this guy had some arm on him.
It was great.
I agree. Who cares if someone blows their stack once in a while. I laughed it off as entertaining. I still like the kid.

I was 1st mate on an offshore fishing vessel in the North Atlantic for about ten years. Nova Scotia area and offshore means 1200 miles to the nearest land. We worked about 20 hours a day, lots of time on deck in horrendous winter conditions. We experienced many of the 'blows your stack experiences'.. But in the end we were hard core shipmates and would kill for each other. SO I still like the kid too!

I told the story in my second book about the time I got slapped silly by a behemoth named Eddie Henderson when he found out I had been talking about him behind his back. I NEVER forgot that lesson!

Jay correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t Big Nasty (Chad Pollman) pick up SVB and slam him against a wall when he was younger and being a smartass? I think I remember him telling that story and how it gave him a better perspective. If I’m right I think it has gone a long way in helping Shane’s attitude throughout his career. While everyone has their bad moments, my experiences with Shane have always been that of a respectful and professional young man. He’s exemplified calm dignity in person the very few times I’ve had the privilege. And I believe that former experience contributed to this.
