Cue made by Neil Hammond out of Groton,NY.

Birdseye Maple
4 Amboynia Burl points on top and bottom
3 veneers Green, White and Orange(Irish Flag of course)
White linen wrap with green specks
Mother of Pearl peacock inlays.
His own idea for custom ring work

All points and peacocks line straight through from top to bottom perfectly. I designed this to have a really nice old school look.

BEAUTIFUL! Being Irish I wondered what the veneers would look like. And amboyna? gtfo, I do like unusual veneers, this would be one I'd have to maybe get down the line. I prefer inlays in the butt rather than points, love peacocks and mop. May I ask what this cost you? Build time? How does it play? Never heard of Neil but impressed with build. I'd love some more pics. pm me with info, thanks.

I gladly can just reply here. I'm certainly not shy about this gorgeous cue. I paid $1075.00 for it. Due to him being busy with his real job, he estimated it taking around 9 months but the inlay work had to hold off longer than planned so it took a lil over a year. Well well worth the weight. Cue plays fantastically. I tried different shafts for it but I'm selling them off because I like the custom shafts better. As for more pictures, I can take a few more later today. What else would you like to see?

Neil is right in Groton,NY. Unsure of how long he has been making cues but yeah I love his work. He is making my break cue as well.

Sadly I couldn't afford the ivory to top the cue off so it's synthetic. It has a radial pin.

Really sweet cue! Haven't ever seen anyone pair Amboyna burl with mother of pearl inlaid peacocks and I really like it. Those veneer colors and their use in the rings are a winner for this cue too. I also like how the cue maker made the reverse points. They look good and proportional to the space they're in.

How does the cue hit? I'm sure solidly but is it a harder or softer hitting cue?

Good shooting to you! Enjoy!

Kevin

It's a very solid feel. Not too hard nor too soft. He did core it with Purple Heart so it has a great return feeling on every shot. It more of less talks to me when I play. Hehehe hope my cue doesn't shark me!

killer price, decent wait. I have others in mind for my build but I'm sure I could ask to glue up those veneers to see if I like how they do. great bem and finish on this cue too. I'll have to keep him in mind. maybe some more closeups on the forearm butt veneers/inlays.

I'll also post pictures of the custom break cue once I get it in hand. I'll give hints. Purple Heart, ebony and some green.
