Anyone know off hand what the carbon fiber pad thickness is brandnew on a Predator BK2? I am getting ready to do a tip job on one, and it seems a lot thinner than it should be. It measures .035" and I thought they were closer to .080"??

I called them just now, and the guy was very helpful, the official measurement is .080" thick for the BK2 carbon fiber pad. Also, it comes attached to the tip, and the pad being changed by anyone other than them voids the warrantee.
The pad on this one was down to .035" after only 4 tip changes( by another repair guy), which is getting too close to the critical point of .020" minimum mentioned on their site.

That's a good example of why I don't like Predator products..
You can't replace the carbon fibre pad, that voids the warranty... tells me alot about how flawed Predators engineering is!
