bk2 tips

predator can change the bk2 tip to leather if you want...i think they charge like $30
 
That price is just a few dollars more than what I paid for mine at Seyberts including shipping. Seyberts actually changed the tip to one we agreed on.

I was happy with the leather tip they put on, but about a month later, I still decided to get an extra BK2 shaft with the original phenolic. I definitely have the break cue thing covered! lol

I know that putting a leather tip on defeats the power thing the BK2 is known for, however I find myself pulling out the leather tip BK2 shaft more than the phenolic one.

Not to hijack my own thread but......

What is the differences between the BK 1 and the BK 2?

This forum is the NUTS.

Just a little foot note. While I appreciate the manufacturers providing their knowledge in written form, there is nothing like a consensus from the people that use the equipment. The consensus from a wide group of users like what is here on AZ provides information that is difficult to come by and is just one of the reasons I like AZ Billiards.

the bk1 had a leather tip as standard instead of phenolic

the bk2 has lower deflection than the bk1

This is one of the things I am afraid of. I liked the old BK1 hit and I am not sure I will like the BK2 with the phenolic tip better than the leather tip. Guess I will have to find a BK2 with leather and with phenolic to compare the two.

You can change any tip to another tip for about $30 anywhere .... ROFL
