Black Masters Chalk

The only time I've ever seen the chalk color make a difference in anything was years ago, a buddy used tan chalk exclusively because it didn't show that ugly blue stain on his ferrule and shaft grain. It worked quite well to keep his shaft looking brand new.

I've only seen black chalk used once in my life. It was on a table with green cloth and it made visible marks everywhere. Generally, I think the idea is to use chalk that matches the cloth color so the dust blends better.

Unless you have Black Felt why would you want to use Black Chalk. Of all the Colors that would have to show more chalk marks than any color out there. I have never seen Black Masters Chalk but you may be able to get it as they do make Black felt.

Yeah, whenever a customer requests black cloth on their table, I remind them they'll have to use black chalk which results in black hands when you play, black shafts on your pool cues, etc. Not to mention the balls just won't show up well on any dark color cloth, unless you have an amazing LED light fixture.

Sometimes the customer will then change their mind, and sometimes they won't - particularly if you're dealing with an interior decorator who is choosing the color, in which case all they care about is how the cloth color matches to everything else in the room.
