I know we have the World Championship starting today, but that is not until this evening. http://www.accu-stats.com/liveppv.html

So in the meantime, I thought I'd move this over to its own thread. I just don't want to crowd elvicash's thread that he has had going for a few years which is dedicated to his quest to run his age. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=169807&page=7

Within that thread, Blackjack kindly decided to do some 44+ ball runs to help encourage Dana.

The first installment, a 51 ball run with commentary is very nice and informative and deserves to be seen:

A few observations.

David is not afraid to hit his break shots! He demolishes the racks each time, rarely leaving balls touching.

He identifies his break shot early and his key ball(s) and quickly goes to work clearing the others out.

In rack 1, he had 3 balls uptable to clean off before getting on his key. One was hanging in the pocket. I think I would have tried to get the hanger out first. It is sometimes tough to get precise position knocking the hanger in. However, his superior shot making saved his butt.

The shot he missed to end the run, he should have been able to make with his Johnson, to paraphrase Marop. His other problems were cleared up and he was probably going into the next rack. Momentary relaxation and Bam, run over.

Very nice run with lots to learn.

Thanks, Dennis. Its going to be a lot fun doing these videos - not just for Dana, but for everybody. As for the missed shot ... they call it Cranial Rectilitus. FWIW, I never miss the difficult shots.
