Blast from the past - ASP tournament from 1999

I came across this listed scores for a Q Skills tournament in 1999 whilst searching for the original Q Skills rules. It seems AZB is not being very original with this idea, the ASP newsgroup (Which for those not aware is officially supposed to the off-topic branch of the RSB newsgroup)

I don't recognize too many people on there, I assume Bob J. is the inimitable Mr. Jewett. I also noticed their rules were somewhat more lax, allowing a free BIH after the break, and a break from anywhere in the Kitchen not just the Head spot.

This will come as a shock to some, and not a shock to others who I told back then. I played that tournament under my other alter-ego, quite by accident. I was playing around with google groups, and I answered a post as a test. Suddenly, I found out that my alter-ego was entered.

I didn't even know this was going on until last night. I looked briefly and saw that you are doing the old q-skills thing, right?

...Subtract one point on a scratch on the break unless it's Tuesday or it's raining in which case you subtract two points and stand on one leg.... I'll have to look it up again. In any case, is there a deadline? Can I still join in?

Welcome. The official rules (oddly enough) are in the "Official Rules" thread on this sub-forum. I'm not sure about the standing on one leg part, but its definitely a Q-Skill variation - pretty easy to digest. Good luck, thanks for stepping up.
