Has anybody had an experiences with using bloodwood for complete cue? Asking about playibility, strengh- I very interested in a Martinez- looks feels great. But what woods are players? ebony, fronted yes. kingwood, fronted yes. Bloodwood? thanks in advance to all responces good or bad

Bloodwood is hard, heavy and pingy. Very close to purpleheart but cuts and threads nicer.
The really dark red ones with straight grain are very stable too.

thanks for the information- I sent a pm -great to hear I couldn't imagine Ernie using nothing less than playable, solid stable wood. mark

Here is a 6 point,3 low ebony, 3 high curlymaple w/double black veneer. Blood wood front and butt sleeve. Cue plays great.
