Purchased in late '80's. (That must mean it's made by the original Leonard Bludworth) Hardly ever used and stored in well protective case. Everything original and in pristine condition. Asking $1000.
was your ex Freddy Guarino?I bought it in the late '80's. I wanted to buy a good cue for my new husband, and my ex told me to go to this place in L.A. by the 605 (memory now is it was Downey or Norwalk). I recalled that he told me it was Tad's place. So That's where I bought it, and that's what I always assumed it was. I don't recall anything at all about the name Bludworth. I just recall Tad. My ex was not an honorable person and we didn't split on friendly terms (his side for sure). So, it wouldn't surprise me if he took advantage of my ignorance and steered me wrong. If it's a Bludworth, it's a Bludworth. But since I've seen him many times over the past 4 decades and whenever he brought up the cue I bought for my current husband, he called it a Tad, I always thought it was a Tad. Don't have a receipt, but seem to recall spending about $600 for it back then. My Ex is now dead, and I'm not missing him at all. He was NOT a good guy. But he was a GREAT manipulator and pool shark. Watched him cheat a lot of naive guys out of a lot of money, and also watched him play some really really good players. He cheated his second wife out of $5K. Most of you know her...Mary Kenniston. And I just discovered one of her favorite cues is a Bludworth....go figure.
I moved to Vegas in 91 and started hanging at Cuetopia. I knew Mary from the east coast as I had grown up in Fusco”s and sheUnfortunately yes
Sorry not really involved with pool anymore in fact im gonna sell my Franklin era Southwest Satin. I have to say my dealings with Freddy were both smooth and i got great value. I bought the Datsun 280zx for like $2800 and it was cherry and treated me amazing. I also bought a 2 cue case from in back in early 90’s and its what my southwest is in in the closet. Good luck I hope u sell the Bludworth it is beautiful but I can’t stay in a poolroom for longer than a hour its just not my kind of place for a loooooooong time now.well I was married to him for 13 years and Mary was with him for I don't know how many years. But he turned both of his daughters against each of their respective mothers and cheated Mary out of thousands of dollars when he filed for bankruptcy. Tried to cheat me, but I was much smarter than him. He was not a person of good character. If you had any dealings with him, you probably got burned. He was real good at that. But I would like to sell this Bludworth cue. Are you interested? or do you know someone who is interested?
