I love it

Usually right after polishing my balls chalk collects on them immediately with master, even worse recently got some free predator 1080

But I had a guest over with blue diamond today, I never heard if the stuff but I love it, leaves barley anything on the balls.

I'm happy to pay 3-4 bucks a piece for this stuff, anyone else use blue diamond?

I love Blue Diamond too.

Also in case you're going through a chalk experimenting phase I wanted to add
that for the last few months I've been using the Kamui 1.21b chalk and I think I'm in love...lol

Yes I know it's 25 or 30 bucks a cube but this thing lasts and lasts and lasts....
Don't know exactly how many months it's been but at least six and I'm still on the first cube.
So I figured there are worse things in the world than buying chalk twice a year, especially since I love it so much.

Plus I seem to get more spin on the ball AND for whatever reason the tip stays scuffed up much much longer.
No idea why.
I definitely like a coarse tip and am always scuffing but since I started using this chalk I almost don't have to.
Yup that's the dang truth of it.
I'm now scuffing once or twice a month as opposed to once or twice a day!
Don't know how it works but I definitely love the Kamui 1.21.

Also for a point of reference on the scuffing, I break with my cues so the tips can glaze over very easily.
Regardless of this I'm not scuffing nearly as often as before.

I really wasn't experimenting,
Never thought to, wouldn't have known where to begin

All ive ever used was master, then I got that predator, 6 piece or so box free when I bought my championship pro tour cloth

It was the worst, plus I'm not a fan of the shape, ibgot used to it, just a silly pet peeve

But as I was watching my buddy test the angles on my billiard table, I noticed the balls were staying clean which means a good deal to me, and his was well used, but at that price I too will use it till it crumbles
Just bought a 2 pack on seyberts, 9 bucks shipped

If you research the Forum, a long time ago I became a fan of Blue Diamond
and promoted it, 6 years ago I bought a carton (25 boxes) and haven given
at least 1/2 dozen boxes away to pals.........still have 8-9 boxes left.

RJ pitches Magic Chalk and Dr. Dave did a piece on chalk.......Shooter 08 has
a special going re: Magic Chalk,.....Many folks will pay what I consider to be
just exorbitant, some might even say absurd.......me being one of them, prices
for chalk. Here's the bottom-line........if you chalk after every single shot, which
I think is a great habit to adopt, then the friggin' chalk brand doesn't mean squat,

Personally, I fell in love with Blue Diamond for its cleanliness........no flaking or
chalk residue build-up on your cue shafts so that's what blew me away long ago.
There might be a better brand that enables a player to chalk less frequently which
I happen to think is a horrible thing to do. I've found that people invariably tend to
become too inconsistent with their chalking & also observe, apply chalk improperly.

How many cubes of chak do you see in a pool hall where it looks like a gopher
snake could squeeze through.....What in the heck is with this coring of chalk &
then these same bozos wonder why their shafts and hands turn blue........Duh?

Just apply chalk correctly......I won't even bother to tell you the proper way as
I'm sure others will offer advice and maybe even post photos. The main point of
my post was and still is......if you chalk after every shot, then all the chalks will
perform very satisfactorily. If you want cleaner hands, then go with Blue Diamond.
I purposely didn't mention cleaner shafts since the ones you already have are likely
already discolored........mine aren't.......because I play with Blue Diamond.

Hey, if you buy MC from RJ, you can also order a MC T-shirt if that's your thing.
Personally, I recommend shopping for a deal on a carton of Blue Diamond like I
did and will again. Some of my pals like MC and I bought some as gifts, actually
it was to pay off a bet I lost.....(Thanks Tom)........I prefer to stay with BD vs. MC
which I also have some boxes. But MC did not distinguish itself in any way so
why pay a higher price when it performs basically the same as Blue Diamond that
I already have a pretty good stash of and enjoy playing with.

I know people will argue that you can chalk less often or shoot more shots without
chalking.....phrase it any way you like. I prefer to think of that as a bad habit I do not
want that to sneak into my shot routine......chalk every time and if you forget, Blue
Diamond performs as well as MC on the 2nd & 3rd shots too.....but that's a poor
chalking habit to follow. Like I've previously stated, just chalk all the time & I've also
found it is a way of controlling one's pace of play using the same pre-shot routine.

Back to Blue Diamond, it's been my favorite chalk to play with the last 6 years & never
have found another chalk that makes me want to replace BD.....Just chalk after every shot.

I like Blue Diamond. Almost no miscues at all, but it leaves plenty of blue chalk on the shaft. I clean my shafts after every day of play and find nothing better than Cuetec shaft cleaner conditioner.
Nielsen's are the best supplier.

I don't own cues that are worth a car so blue shafts don't bother me at all, I'll get a new one for 150 if it begins to bother me

I usually use master chalk but only because I bought a few boxes and am using it up. I discovered blue diamond and am sold on the stuff.

On a side note, I got a free piece of Kamui chalk a while back and did not care for the stuff on my playing cue at all but I absolutely love it on my break cue. That one piece will probably last me a lifetime since I mostly play one pocket these days.

Well, I'm glad you are appreciating premium chalk. And BD is very good chalk.... I just happen to believe MC is better, as does science :grin-square:

Of course, that's easy for me and the thousands of fans of MC to say. And you like Seyberts as well, who is also a MC dealer for me, and just a great outfit to do business with :bow-down:

Thus, if you decide you like MC, you can buy right from Seybers as well, for similar price as BD.:thumbup2:

But how would you know? Send me your address, and I will mail you a FREE cube of MC today. :grin-devilish:

I"m asking for nothing in return, you don't need to review it, or anything else. If you like it better, great for Seyberts (and me), and if you don't, then sorry we could not have you as a customer, and please pass the chalk to someone else who might like to try it.

In fact, the next 9 folks that post what their current non MC "premium" chalk of choice is, will get one FREE cube of Magic Chalk :happy-birthday:

OK I'll take a free one as I'm now seeing the benefits of premium chalks, something that I once thought to be just silly bickering, I'm now on board and will happily take one and give it a few hundred shots!

Good deal. It's nice to see someone that stands behind and believes in their product so much they will give away a few freebies and let the product do the talking. Tap, tap, tap. Have a great day!

Matt, do you want to be included in the "giveaway" as my note said the next 9 folks that posted what their current PREM brand was, would be given a FREE cube. If so, please send name and address via PM.

Or, if folks don't want me to know their "real" name, just email it to my son who packs all the orders at "MagicChalkUSA@yahoo.com"

Thanks, RJ

I would like to try your Magic Chalk if the offer is still available. I was using blue diamond chalk, but recently switched over to the new OB Chalk. I am curious about how the Magic chalk compares. Thanks, Juan

Got a Magic Chalk from Seybert's the other day.
Definitely not for me.

I like Blue Diamond but unlike the OP it definitely leaves a LOT on the cue ball.

FOR ME the Kamui 1.21 solved all my chalking experiments.
It was so overwhelmingly better than all the stuff I have tried.

I used to like Blue Diamond until I got OB chalk. The OB chalk goes on very nice and seems extremely clean, the chalk seems like it is going to last forever yet my tip is always covered very nice. I have never used Magic Chalk but right now I think OB chalk is the best stuff out there. I have tried almost every brand of chalk except Kamui because just on principle I will not spend $30 on a cube of chalk. I also like NIR but it seems kind of messy because of its deeper blue color.

I split boxes of OB and BD chalk with a buddy at the expo. I loved the OB chalk so much, I haven't tried the BD cube yet. I also have some MC and like it too.

Tried many and decided to get a few cubes of RMC from Chicago RJ a few weeks ago. I love the stuff. Covers well, excellent dry, but not powdery consistency, stays on tip and grabs.

What I am noticing after about 100 racks is not going for my chalk every shot and feeling confident. ZERO mis-cues so far. Consistency much like BD to me but sticks, grabs better for about same price. Cheap.....:groucho:

Have a good Holiday,

-Kat,

My favorite brand of chalk is Blue Diamond also. I was using Master and have used many other brands over the years, but I find that Blue Diamond works as well as the others but leaves less residue on the table, cue, cue ball and my hands.

Willing to give it a try.. seems like I'm still within the 10 limit.. presently using Predator 1080 and the occasional Masters.

Will message info if you wish.

Thank you RJ,

I think you should allow someone else to benefit from your kind offer......
I acquired several boxes from Shooter08 whom also is my Kamui supplier for tips.
As I wrote, I paid off a few bets with MC instead of cash and the extra boxes still
sit on my closet shelf. Since I chalk pretty much on every shot, I'll just stick with BD.
