ok, i've searched high and low for these tips, can't find any. there is a brunswick dealer near me and they don't carry them. they said they don't know what they are and no one has ever asked for them before. the only tips they have are le pros. can't really find any place online to buy them either. where do cuemakers here get their blue diamonds?

thx for the link...doesn't say how many tips for the price, i'm guessing a box. seems kinda pricey, $45 + shipping? guess i might just have to suck it up, seems like the only place that has them. you have to wonder about companies that make it really hard for you to buy their product. it's like they don't really want to sell them!

No, it's because for the most part they are loyal to their Brunswick dealers, if your contact is truly a dealer for Brunswick, they either first, didn't pick up the phone to call or Brunswick has a minimum and they 2nd. didn't want to invest.

yeah, i understand about having a reseller channel. the problem is they don't seem to have many dealers and it doesn't seem hardly any of them carry the tips. i figure the dealer pricing will be lower than the brunswick direct pricing, so as not to compete with them, if only i could just find one. with the web these days, i thought it would be just a couple clicks to order them from someone. mike, where do you get yours from?

I get them from
Home Entertainment & Decor Sysyems
945 E. Haggard Ave.
Elon College, NC. 27244
336-584-0835
fax 336-584-5483

I get them in 14mm the last time I got them they were about $50.00 a box.
Hope this will help
David

i did find a few other online stores that caried em as well, but none of them had the 14mm you where looking for. most where in europe somewhere and had pricing in euros and only did 9-11 mm for snooker cues. i just did a quick search in yahoo for: brunswick blue diamond tip

Here are some available in an eBay store but they're 13mm..

I hate to spread half-truths, but FWIW,at one time I had heard that these were the premium Elk Masters. I used to use Elkies, but never tried these, and can't confirm.

i've played with both blue diamond and elkmaster a lot for snooker as those are the two most popular tips for snooker. bd's are very similar to elkmaster, both are chrome tanned, on the softer side, and has the blue chalk on the outside. IMO, bd's are a bit harder than elk, but not a whole lot. but talk to the snooker crowd in england and you'll find varying opinions on which tip is harder/softer, more consistent, etc. i could certainly believe that bd's are selected elkmasters. i have heard that they are manufactured by tweetens for brunwick. i have a bunch of bd's in the snooker sizes, i was looking for some 14mm to try on a pool cue. i've never tried a bd for pool, only snooker, so i can't really say how they are for pool

Mr. David, How do they hit?

they are more of a med soft a little harder than the Elk master. they hold up better that the elk straight out of the box. No need to crush them before you install them. Around here with all of the old bar box tables with the old heavy rock balls it is the tip of choice for a good 75% of the players who play on bar boxes only.
Most are league players. The one league here has about 20 teams and just about every one in the league wants BD tips. I cant even get them to try any thing else.
