Or someone wanting a Blue Grass sneaky pete REAL bad and is willing to pay double for it.:)

I just saw the auction you're referring to.

Yeah, either the Seller is ultra-fortunate, or he's "pulling a Painter". :p

That is the correct price for a PJ "true" Bluegrass, with nice wrap and fancy ring work. Bot waaaaaay out of line for a SP.

JMO! ICBW!

Omg

i just found the auction as well. i was looking for a BG sneaky. this is outrageous. especially being that close in Ohio to Richard Harris and knowing that they dont cost that much new.

i had found one before and the guy was asking $750 used.

If you follow them at all, you know they were going for 750 used last year. If someone wants one, the supply isn't there. I thought it was a little high myself, but he's not supposed to be making anymore. That might have something to do with it.

Why is it that as soon as a cuemaker says that he is "not making them anymore"...the price doubles?! Is this the cuemakers ploy to make his cue more desirable...or the sellers ploy to make more $$$ ?

They were going for around $750 new last year. I still think those auctions were a little suspect. I will say they play just as good as his high dollar cues. As far as the cuemaker not making them to drive the prices up, that is not Richard at all. He has a few reasons for not making very many to which I am not going to discuss. $750-$900 does seem high for a sneaky, but if it puts the balls in the hole like no other and is the "best cue for you", then that price might not be unreasonable.

Last I heard and know

Sneakies new were $450 and birdseye cues with 2 shafts were $850. At least that is what I have been told what I could get them for.
And before anyone asks I have no interest in middling any cues these days. I will not however say the whole sellers name. But these are the prices. As reciently as cues delivered in the last couple months.
Nick :)
