My Frey

My Frey cue and I love it. I had a Frey sneaky but recently sold it. It was great too. I hate tooting my own horn but, I think that my Frey is the nicest I have seen. Somebody prove me wrong and post up their beauty as well.

yes it is!

Kevin, yours is by far the nicest FREY cue I personally have seen to date. Maybe I'm biased cause' of the green veneers, but I haven't seen alot of his fancy cues...Just sneakies. Some day we're gonna have to meet up and you can try my DZ if I can try your FREY...Sound like a deal bud?

Sounds good

Sonds like a great idea. You should come to the Black Friday tournament next week at the Yankee Club in York, PA. I will be there playing and helping to run the tournament. See the listing in the tournament section if you haven't already seen it.

Man, thats a 6 hour ride for me buddy...lol Maybe some other day, but someday we need to meet up and play some. Hey, do you ever go to the OIL CITY tournament? I'll be there again this year hopefully, but should be able to go to Valley Forge this year also, if you go there. I'll PM you my number so anytime we're close to one another, we can just let the other know. Take care bud, Jeff

Hey buddy! Only 2 hours, huh? MUST BE NICE!!! lol With the exception of leagues, I don't play either, and I just got that beautiful cue not long ago :( Oh well, whatcha gonna do? You'll have to let me know some particulars on Valley Forge bud, cause' this'll be my first year in attendance. If all goes as planned, and it seems as it is, this will be my first year going to VEGAS also :D :D THAT'S gonna be a blast! I usually play just to win, but not if I get to go to VEGAS, I plan on going to have FUN!!!!!!!!!! Take care buddy, Jeff

I have a ?? relating to the joint on your FREY cue. I see its not a solid s/s joint, which in my opinion is better for "feel", do you know if its "sleeved on" or how he does it?

I know its not sleeved, but threaded on. The cue has a great feel to it with a lot of feed back. The stainless steel joint gives the cue a little more forward balance to it.

Thank you kind sir. Bob is one hell of a craftsman, but has little time to do such work. We have a tough time just keeping up with his player cue demand. JP:) :)

The best Bob Frey cue I've ever seen is a cue belonging to a player named PENNY from around here. That cue would blow you away. I took photos of it on my cell phone - but they turned out terrible. I'll have to take good ones sometimes. Penny bought a Josswest brand new when Bill first split from Dan. It had floating boxes - and just very fancy. There were like three made. One of them Bill used. Jim Rempe had one, and Penny had one. At least I believe this is the way the story goes. Anyhow, Penny had Bob make him a "negative" model of this cue. Bob reversed all of the color elements into his own cue, so Penny plays with the fancy Frey and saves his old JossWest from abuse.

Another local player who passed away a little while back had a beautiful gambler themed cue. It had his name on the buttcap "Billy Dog". This cue was gorgeous.

AZ's own "Gunnslinger" has a gorgeous fancy Bob Frey as well. The man can make anything you want - and they all play good.
