Hi all,

does someone perhaps know, what s the joint-diameter from Frey cues are usualy? Friend asked me, but atm not able to measure my 3-8/10 Frey Sneaky :(

thx in advance,

Ingo

SS joint on my 3 are .843 - .845
1 Elfron joint is .849

Ivory piloted......well we will see when it gets here:thumbup:

That's why God made calipers.
Buy a set and learn to use them. Then you'll know.
As you can see, joint diameters can vary even from the same builder.
Or you can pick from door #1, #2 or #3 and hope you guess right.

Delivered to your door, and at a great price. You could have a concrete answer in a matter of days, because you won't get it here. I think that is what KJ is talking about.

Received nice answers.
thank you anyway. That joints can differ a bit was what i thought, too. And i appreciate how fast i received the answeres/responses.
Again: i m usualy able to measure it-- but not today because i was forced to stay at home.

I wondere a bit about KC s answer- his response seemed to be a bit unfriendly and i wondered why.

anyway thanks again,

lg from overseas,

Thank You Sir, that is exactly what I was saying.
The difference is that you did the leg-work and I didn't.
I see this question come-up at least once a week here and in most cases
there are a variety of answers so what has been accomplished?
As noted, joint diameters can vary even from the same builder.
Also, what if the cue has been refinished? The nominal joint diameter may have changed.
Calipers are cheap and easily attained so why not own a set and have an accurate
answer to your question?

To Ratta,
My intent was not to be 'unfriendly'. I wrote that way to emphasis the fact that you are going
to get many different answers and maybe none of them are going to be correct for your cue. In effect, you'd still be guessing.
Calipers take the guess-work out of the equation.
