I went to his shop today an had my old gambler repaired new tip shaft collar ..well Bob was there and took my cue and told me if I could wait he would fix it right away...I told him as long as I could play on one of his tables I could wait ...as I was banging balls with my custom cue I had he returns an asked me if I cared to use his personal cue ...well I said sure !!!! He brings me the cue with a new pro shaft well all i can say its very good.....
As best i can tell I had a very nice custom cue , his pro shaft an my pre dot gambler with a 35 year old shaft.... bob with a big smile an giggling shooting trick shots with the old gambler after it was repaired ...
He then shows me the diffence of the three... shotting long shots with English ...the pro shafted cue would only move 1/2 to 3/4 of a ball over a 9 foot table the old shaft gambler moved 3/4 to 1 full ball left or right the custom moved 1 and 1/2 balls !!!! So the pro shaft works...and feels very good shooting ..
He showed me his shop an it looks to me he is working on the quality problems.. I picked up a lot of his cues an the fit and finish looked good for a production cue..
