That video was up on youtube for years, today I looked for it and its gone...anyone have a link (outside of youtube) or an archive of that video? Thanks.

Just looked and I cant find it. I remember when Bob brought it to the expo, he would put anybody's cue in it.
Predator would not put one in it, Bob had to buy one for everyone to see that it did not beat his. It was great
to see him challenging Predator and they just gave him the stink eye. Jim Rempe was also on hand help promote Meucci.
This was many years ago at the original expo site.

Exactly buddy! I got no clue why that video got deleted, maybe other brands didn't like Bob using their names and being inferior to his stuff? I feel that people should be allowed to do that and just keep the competition going!

But yea, maybe there's an archive somewhere on the web with that old video, its kind of a classic and shouldnt be removed imo.

Its a long shot, but maybe check Vimeo??

I think I have it on vhs unless I trashed it. Ha ha.

Bob’s video was no good because he was shooting the cb into the ob and seeing where the ob went.

I had one for a while. Deflection was decent but to me it felt/hit like shit. Had a dull/lifeless hit/feel to me. You're not missing much if you don't get to watch those vids. Bob was an enthusiastic snake-oil salesman. That being said the Pro shaft, imo, is one of the best wood low-defl. shafts out there. Hits/feels great.

I found my VHS copy! ha ha. I think he was giving them away at one of the Expo's in the late 90's/early 2000's. That must be where I got it from.

Maybe it was taken down as they don't make the black dot shaft anymore.
It was a stupid shaft as you had to hold it a certain position in order for it to work, while Predator's shafts also provided radial consistency, it perform just the same no mater how you hold it.
Another issue for me with his test was that it hit the ball way to hard, harder than any player would ever be able to shoot, at realistic playing speeds, the results are different.

The BD ferrules were nightmare too. That shaft had a conical tenon with a super thin wall ferrule. The 'idea' was for the ferrule to slightly buckle out of the way thus reducing squirt. Horrible idea. Even good repair guys hated them. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/what-is-the-take-on-this-design.157598/

I have a Meucci cue with a black dot shaft, and I also have a 314-2 shaft for the same cue. I don't remember there being that much difference between the two, but it's been so long since I picked them up (maybe as much as 20 years), that my memory may be off a little. Maybe I'll dig it out and give it another try.

I could play ok with the one i had but the sound/feel/feedback was just 'dead' feeling. I sold it after a couple mos. Their current Pro shaft is a banger, one of the best imo if you like lo-def. wood.
