Here's a bird of a different feather. Strange lookin' but definitely well made.Here is link to his website:http://www.westcoastcues.com/bobcues/ It weighs in @ 19.7 oz. Butt = 14.6, Shaft = 5.1, 10mm. I can find no dings or marks except slight scratches on ferrule.Both ends straight,good tip. The wood in the butt resembles dymonwood to me but his site said he used mainly beech and birch.Brass pin. I don't think anything is Ivory,and not sure of type of wood in the shaft. 1st one of these I've handled. It does hit solid.Very good condition as pics will show. Priced at $250

Thanks,rod-I thought so too,no matter what type billiards you're into you gotta 'preciate good craftmanship.Did you notice the difference in the (eye's) or knots on the opposite sides of the grip area? Subtle but unique. I have a couple more pics I will switch them around in a day or so.

I'm sure they do,that wood has been around for a while. I think it's the color of it that turn's off traditionalist maple shaft lovers. buy american!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or japanese- JUST BUY SOMETHING:grin-square:
 
Just wanted to add that I have played about 12 hours with one of these cues and I thought it was some kind of joke at first but they surprisingly play pretty good. It didn't take long at all to adjust to it and I soon forgot what it looked like while I was playing. The handle is actually quite comfortable too.

Thanks Doc., I noticed that too when I was cleaning it up. Rolled a few around and then a few more.........
 
nice cue....

Hi, I have a little story to tell about Bob's cues....I was travelling around California around 92' with a fellow roadplayer and was in action at the House of Billiards in Santa Monica when a guy first showed me one of these cues....at first I thought it was interesting looking and he allowed me to shoot a few balls with it..I ran out the last three racks in the set with it and...I WAS HOOKED!!! I asked him the maker and he gave me Bob's number. I called him and he invited us over to his house to play on the nicest table I have ever seen and allowed us to try out a few of his cues....both me and my friend bought two of them and I still have one to this day....the are simple unbelievable......since then I see them all over the west coast and everyone seems to have the same appriciation for them as I do.
