When John Schmidt won the US Open with a Hunter I became interested in his cues. I tried one at a local pool room and was blown away by the cue's playability. Eventually I bought the first Bobby Hunter box cue, made for John Schmidt.

My own opinion is that Bobby Hunter cues are among the most solid feeling cues made. Not whippy and not harshly stiff. Very predictable and well constructed. I really like the cues for their beauty and function.

I wouldn't hesitate to invest in a Hunter as collectable or personal player.
 
Defititly 1 of the best Cues-

bobby Hunter is a great player as well- you'll never look back thats why he gets a premium price on basic 4 pt cues. And doing stuff with Joey Gold speaks (tons). Cogs are still just like balabuska diamentions- (57-1/2 inches. The hunters is just a bit longer . mark
