Just got this notice from Ebay on a cue I had a watch on; I don't remember placing a bid on it.

I guess Ebay does look into some listings and I am sure it is because of the watchdogs here on AZ

Email eBay and make sure they sent the email. They will tell you if its real or not. If you didnt bid on it, somebody might have hacked your account so I'd probably change the password too. Just a thought.

Thanks for the tip.

I logged into EBay and there was an alert.

Then it should be real. If you didnt bid on it, I'd make sure to change your password then. It really doesnt hurt to change it once a month and you should never have problems IMO.

I wouldn't click on any link in that e-mail or enter any info on screens that they take you to. I also would forward it to spoof@ebay.com

Looks like fishing to me.!.

I agree 100% you maybe already screwed, if you went to ebay using the link in the bogus email from ebay?

Any email I get these days from ebay gets sent to spoof@ebay.com. As another precaution I always close all i.e. activate windows and open a new window on my own and type www.ebay.com on my own. I get bogus emails at my work emails and other email account that have never been used for ebay.

I think someone has been fishing for your information. I hope for the best.
