Books on Sharking/Anti-Sharking

The Allan Sand's books go into how to shark, and there are enough "road stories" in basic books that explain how road players have sharked unsuspecting players.

Any books on Anti-sharking? (aside from the Tao Te Ching and other non-pool books about meditation/concentration/focus)?

broken.

You don't really want to get started sharking people because it might get you hurt.
If you are playing someone who is trying to shark you , ask them once to stop whatever they are doing.
If it was accidental, no problem, if they continue or do something else then you know it's part of their game.
If you can still beat them and don't mind the nonsense, go ahead, if not, find another game.
Life is too short to mess around with idiots , and if you do mess with them , theres a good chance you will become one.

So you're saying there are no books?

If there were any books, they most likely wouldn't be on the Best Sellers List.

If you were buy the several books on Road stories that are available on AZ, there would be enuff sharking stories included to get you on your way.

I'm thinking Robert Cotton, Jay, Alfie etc, there are a few.

Other than that, you would have to use your imagination just as much as the old Sharksters did.

Or you could go to UTube and take some lessons from Jon Levitz, the Annoying Man. That will most likely get you hurt in some way or
another.

I started to write a book on sharking once.....

...but they wouldn't leave me alone...
...how could I concentrate with all those people asking me what I was doing?

Exactly...life is too short to play with assholes.
I got a guy who lingers at the table after every miss, wines incessantly and never sits. You need to give up the table and show your opponent a minimum of respect. If he took this show on the road, someone would bury him.

I just envision his legs breaking from standing there so long while I run out. Sharking just shows me that they are weak. You do need to call them on it sometimes, I will just sit in my chair until they show me they are ready to play right.

I read a book called the psychology of gamesmanship by allan sand,it was actually pretty is dead on when it comes to dealing with sharking.

Yeah, I mentioned his books in the original post. Stupid ex-gf decided to keep those when we broke up.

SHE DOESN'T EVEN PLAY POOL!

Dear Broken--

What SOCOPOOL said!!! I don't know the Townsend books listed on Amazon, but Stephen Potter made a career and became a best seller by writing books about how to get an unfair advantage. It's always hard to tell whether he is serious or not. Start with his GAMESMANSHIP.
