This is my first post, but I've been reading for a long time. It seems boring with out the Silencer. Most of you are probably glad he's not posting or as frequently as he used to, and alot of his posts aggravated me too, but it seems dead here without him and FL as well. Just my .02.

Agreed. I miss the Silencer, too.

That is the thing. Have a moderated board and there are not very many flames, and if there are, someone often ends up kicked off.

Unmoderated, and lots of flames, insults, and sometimes it seems like they are fighting more than talking about pool.

It is hard to find that balance. BTW, if you want to talk to FL, you can send him an email. haha

What's interesting is that since Silencer has taken a sabbatical, so have many of the self-appointed forum commando's that policed AZ. It's as if their whole reason for living was taken away when new threads weren't started by Bernie and they could no longer scream out "Ohhhh noooo...not another lame brain thread"...."Get him outta here".........."Go get a job"......"Bernie needs to be banned"......and so on and so on ad nauseum. There have been a lot of decent thought provoking threads in the last month. C'mon commando's...
this is what you wanted so how about contributing with your vast amount of knowledge? (watch the guilty one's flame back)

Guess most people like a little 'spice'. People get bored without it, but then if there is very much of it, people complain, it seems. Most admins act based on the level of complaints. Gosh, even ccb does not have much flames anymore. AZ and ccb are both great for pool topics.

it seems like if a person likes to 'rumble' a bit, they go to somewhere else for that and come to az and ccb to talk pool or politics and jokes on NPF.

BTW What happened with keith? Did he get flamed or something?

While 50 a game might be fun, I wouldn't say it's exciting. If you're gonna call me out over the internet, why not start at 300 or 400 a game. I think that's exciting. 50 seems kind of like what's the point. If you're ever in NY I'll play you some.

Just kidding around. I don't generally call people out and especially over the net. Although I don't gamble much anymore, I can usually be talked into doing something. I kind of like the peace and quiet here without all the bickering as I hear enough of that from my kids and the neighbors kids. This is my escape other than the tournaments I get to. Sam

If you miss him really badly he is posting on the Matchroom forum as thecloser, predicting a Nick Van den Berg win in the WPC. He doesn't seem to be catching too many fish with his bait though.
