Hello all,
I recently traded some non-pool related stuff (fishing stuff) for a couple basic cases, Schon butt, breaker, 2 shafts and a box/suitcase style 2x2 case which is what Im trying to get some info on. I know its a low to mid-grade production case but I would like to know what brand/ maker it is if anyone can help me out or recognizes it. Thanks.

There are no names or markings anywhere on case. It appears to be pretty well put together and not at all flimsey in any way. Inside lining is not the typical material generally used in this type of case.

Most likely O'Neil. They used different handles and latches at times so that won't always ID them.

The thing that seems to be consistent is the meeting of the case halves. The edges overlap rather than just a flat surface meeting like on the Schmelke cases and similar.

I think it's an O'Neil.

EDIT: Incidentally, I wouldn't call it "low to mid grade". Certainly not low grade. Mid grade maybe, but there aren't many box cases made better than these.

I'd bet on O Neil.

The interior loos like the same as the one I had and what my buddy has. Plus the stitches look to be an exact match

Thanks for the responses guys. I think you are all right on with O'Neil. I am still unable to find any reference to one that looks like it but I did compare features, overlapping edges, corners pieces used and such to other O'Neils and most features are the same.
Thanks again.

Some of the "tapestry" or "embroidery" covered O'Neil's were sold through McDermott. You might find it an old catalog, brochure, or ad from McDermott. It could have been sold through any number of retailers though, or perhaps even direct from O'Neil.

I'm pretty sure it's an O'neill. I remember seeing these in a Biiliards store in Rockford, IL (not too far from where these are made). That was probably around 1990 or 1991.
