Brand New Traditional Jim Buss For Sale

Very Nice looking Cue. Who ever buys it gets a BEAUTY..... ;)

How does a Jim Buss hit?

I have a Jim Buss that he made personally for me during the IRAQ bombing era. Jim was an engineer for Boeing and worked on the guided laser bomb. In between some long shifts at Boeing, Jim would labor in his shop one cue at a time. Mine was one of them and I have been playing it for just over two years. It is a 19.2 oz purple heart butt with black leather wrap, ivory butt cap, four points of veneer in black, green, red (outside in) Joint is ivory collar w/1 1/4 inch stainless screw. Butt is 30 1/8 inch long with ivory butt cap of 1/2 inch. Three shafts, all /w ivory ferrules and 13 mm tip with morri medium on each. One shaft is from wood over 250 years old. The wood which Jim Buss bought a sample of and later made a few one of a kind shafts from wood under Lake Michigan for over 200 years. I can say for certain the "hit" can only be described one way and with one word: "delicious".

Though all shafts have that one of a kind "Jim Buss hit", the water seasoned one is awesome. I have $1,800.00 invested in this cue but would be open to any reasonable offer including trades?

I also have a Seven foot Diamond Professional table with matching Diamond playing lamp. The table is red oak and in new condition. Lamp covers the length of the table and is made from matching oak. I picked the table up at the factory in Louiseville, KY. Table now resides in Surprise, Arizona. All reasonable offers considered. Because the table is in new condition, Diamond has offered to replace my table with a nine foot of the isame wood and model, for trading back my Seven foot Professional Cut w/simonis 860 cloth installed and in new condition. Cloth could be renewed at buyer's discretion. Table was set up and balanced by Dave Clayton. It is an awesome table to play on and I highly recommend over any eight foot table and for anyone playing in bar leagues or VNEA or BCA. This is the table you will encounter, in your tournaments and is the one you sjould be practicing on! If I can get the same amount as they are offering me in trade value, I can save the shipping cost of returning my seven footer.

PS: My cost in 2003, for seven foot oak package "B" table with professional playing light fixture and four 60 inch lamps w/accessories & pro aramith balls, original cost not counting freight because I transported it from Louiseville, to Surprise.

Profesional Table $4,050.00

Profesional Light 625.00

Oak Rack 50.00

Pro Super Aramith Balls 135.00

860 Simonis Cloth 140.00

Total $6,000.00

Today's cost approx. $7,500.00

CrossSideLarry,

This is a thread for my cue for sale. Not yours, or your
pool table. If you want to sell them, start your own thread.
Don't post them on my.

Gary

Not so. I was not trying to Peddle My Cue & Pool Table on his or under his THREAD.

I said: "Your price might be a Tad High....."

Made an observation based up Cue Age, and Current Inventory....of Buss the Cuemaker.... On Buss's Site.....;)

Why would you want to hurt his chance of selling his cue by saying it is priced a tad too high..

What do you have to gain by posting anything negative on his thread..

I call that more ignaorant than what the other guy did.. At least the other guy didnt down Bushwhackers cue..

Thats why you Hijacked his thread.. You made it hard or impossible for him to sell at $1200.. Whats it to you unless you plan on buying it..

Bushwhacker never did anything to you and if you cant see what you are doing you are just palin ignorant..

MIKE,
I AGREE 100%. THERE IS NO REASON TO JUMP ON SOMEBODY ELSES' THREAD AND TRASH THEIR PRICE, OR THE CUE THEY ARE SELLING. I FEEL, WHAT GARY IS ASKING IS MORE THAN FAIR FOR THAT CUE. IF BRUCE WAS INTERESTED IN THE CUE, AND HE NEGOTIATED PRIVATELY WITH GARY, THAT'S A DIFFERENT SITUATION. IT IS UNCALLED FOR THOUGH, TO QUESTION HIS ASKING PRICE. ALTHOUGH THE LINK HE PROVIDED, MADE ME FEEL EVEN MORE THAT BUSHWACKERS' PRICE WAS FAIR. EVIDENTLY BRUCE HAS NEVER TRIED TO SELL ANYTHING.

I expressed my Opinion, and share information on Current Prices of the Cuemaker. Truth hurt.....?

THERE IS NOTHING ON THE SITE TO SUPPORT YOU SAYING THAT BUSHWACKERS PRICE WAS TOO HIGH. SO THE TRUTH DIDN'T HURT, THE INFORMATION MADE GARYS' PRICE LOOK BETTER. THE LEAST EXPENSIVE CUE WITH IVORY INLAYS ON THE SITE IS 1500, 300 MORE THAN GARY'S CUE.

YOUR COMMENT WAS THE DETRIMENTAL PART. I'M STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT, HOW YOU DETERMINED THAT THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH? AND I'M ALSO TRYING TO DETERMINE WHY IT WAS PERTINENT FOR YOU TO INTERJECT YOUR 2 CENTS ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE'S PRICE?

NONE OF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO TO ME, I JUST COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY YOU SAID ANYTHING ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE'S PRICE.

You're not hurting me.. You are hurting the Bushwhacker.. If you were giving truths about the cue, like you used to own it and it is warped that is a truth, but what you are doing is giving negative OPINIONS, not truths.. Those type of opinions are not needed, and you have nothing to gain but enemies by doing it..

Have tried, have had success, and sometime no success. Sold Two Case off this forum, and I believe both Buyers got what they were told they were getting, and were happy with their Cases.

Where do you see that this cue is over priced on Jim's site.
4-point. leather wrap, ivory inlays. Asking price $1250.

Nothing Exactly the Same. Several 8 Pointers for 1,300, and an 8 Pointer is more work that a 4 Pointer. Leather Wrap is 65.00. Ivory is an unknown to me....

WOULD YOU HAVE BEEN HAPPY IF SOMEONE POSTED THAT YOU WERE ASKING TO MUCH FOR THE 2 CASES YOU SOLD, EVEN THOUGH THE LISTED SALE PRICE WAS FAIR, AND COMPARABLE TO MARKET PRICES?

I JUST FEEL THERE WAS NO REASON FOR YOU TO POST AN OPINION ON AN ASKING PRICE. I BOTHERS ME EVEN MORE SO, BECAUSE YOUR EVIDENCE JUST PROVED BUSHWACKERS PRICE WAS FAIR. I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT, HOW YOU FELT THAT IT WAS RIGHT,(OR YOUR PLACE) TO POST THAT YOU FELT HIS PRICE WAS TOO HIGH. LET THE BUYER DETERMINE WHAT THE PRICE SHOULD BE.

MOST CUEMAKERS I TALK TO FEEL THAT INLAYS, ARE HARDER AND MORE TIME CONSUMING THAN 4 EXTRA POINTS. SKIP WESTON AND I HAD A CONVERSATION ABOUT THIS VERY SUBJECT AWHILE BACK WHEN I PICKED UP MY CUE FROM HIM. I'M NOT SURE WHAT JIM BUSS CHARGES FOR A LEATHER WRAP, BUT ANY OF THE CUEMAKERS I DEAL WITH CHARGE CONSIDERABLY MORE THAN 65.00 FOR A LEATHER WRAP.
