Seriously though, it is awesome, and I bet it looks FAR better in person. It's hard to catch the detail in woods that are that dark in a photo without a strong light source. I bet this cue is just awesome up close though.

how stiff do they hit? compared too?

It does look better in person. It is still a subtle look but in that photo you cant see much. I will go back right now and try to snap a better shot. Rick's cues play more stiff than Andy Gilbert cues, Ned Morris cues, and bluegrass cues. They are on the other hand less stiff than a Zylr cue. Hope this helps out some.
