Is there a way to keep a brass joint from tarnishing? Or do I just have to hit it with Brasso occasionally to clean it up? Thanks.

Probably the is just hit it with a little polish once in a while. I like to use "Nevr-Dull". it shine beautifully and you can take a small bit fit in a zip lock bag it your cue case and it lasts for ever. The more you use it the better it seems to work as long as you don't let it dry out. http://www.nevrdull.com/ available at most auto parts stores. It's good stuff.

Idea

You could take a small Tarnex cloth and put it in your cue case they work great...Check on line their pretty cheap.....Hope this helps Ray

I know first hand that lots of people who wear brass colored badges on their uniform (police etc.) use 3M Tarni-Shield to keep them tarnish free for months. I used it on a brass jointed cue and it still looked good 6 months later. Brass-O only last days. It cost more but it works. The bottle I had lasted me about 3 years, and it was for brass. The newer bottles say Silver Polish, so check with 3M if it's the same stuff for brass.

I'll second the Nevr Dull. I use it mostly for polishing aluminum on the Harleys.

Makes it look like chrome if you put some elbow grease into it. It will clean and polish anything.
