Break and run out

How often can you break and run out?
In league play this year I only did it once, but it was sweet because of the circumstances. On a 4 person 8 ball league, no hc, a gal was cleaning up on our team running the table almost at will. She beat our first 3 players quickly, then it was my turn. A pre-game lag determined who broke. I happened to out lag her to win the break, and proceeded with my break and run. Instead of she receiving 40 points for herself/team, she only got 30 points. What added to the satisfaction for me was that she was a much better player than I was, but I never let her get to the table. BTW, she was really po'd at the situation/me, stoking my enjoyment! How often do you b/r? Any stories?

2 years ago when I last shot in league it was same as yours, 4 man 8 ball, I needed one more run out on my Weds night league to be in the teens for each night for the season and got it.

I usually get a few per session...but then again, the racking is hit or miss.

30 to 40% of the balls in or b and rs?😂
Sounds good but it really isn't. Pros are around 75% on a bar table. That is also under no pressure, practice by myself. If I get out of the 20's I'm hitting them good. That is not most days.

This session I'm at 97W-13L-44 ERO's. 20+ weeks. 8ball on 9ft tables. I didn't play the full session but played most of it. 1 more week to go. A little under 50% usually.

TOP pros are at that level, some of the time. This is a very good tracking of stats done by AtLarge compiled by Dr Dave on his website https://billiards.colostate.edu/faq/break/stats/

I'm a 550ish Fargo, so B+ player, on a good night I get a break and run maybe 10% of the time in 8 or 9 ball. Usually fail due to a small position error where I hook myself or get out of line a bit on a ball, something silly and very close to getting right. A few times a month I would run a 2 pack in a match.

3/10 in practice is a good day for me.
1-2 is normal.
9 ball is harder even with the magic rack

I pretend I'm playing an opponent at home and only break and run maybe one out of 15 racks. I feel I am a decent player, but there are many levels above me. I often play just straight pool, I think it's called, where I just run any ball I want after the break and count the misses. I'll play 10 racks like that and count my misses each rack to get an average, and I struggle to break the average of one miss per rack. I have been getting better, and have done it a several times at an average of .8 or .9 misses per rack.

I just went down and played some nine ball.
1. B&r
2. Combo on the 1/2 off angle, hit it thin and missed.
3. 2 to the 3 was on opposite sides of the table rattled the 2.
4. 1/9 combo layed up like it was my birthday.
5. Missed the 7, couldn't tell you why. Eyes off the ball?
6. B&R
I quit.
Used magic rack, made wing ball everytime.
1 ball usually near the side pocket.
Always at least had a look at the 1 ball.
No ball in hand.

I don't think it's quite time to call Shane and take a run at the title but, I don't play terrible.
