I am thinking about buying a dedicated break cue as I am sick and tired of breaking with unreliable house cues. The tapers, weights, and tips are always different and it is very hard to get a consistent break like this.

Is the "X-breaker" the new hot thing? Does it work well? Any suggestions would be great.

I finally settled on the Fury J/B. It is rated the number #2 break cue on Platinum Billiards. It even has a leather wrap..I picked one up on Nielsen's billiards for $119.00. Normally $179.00....It breaks like a tank and jumps like a frog...It depends on how much you want to spend. The others go for $350.00 and up....My friend has the x-breaker and loves it....I love my Fury......

I just got an Omen Grey Ghost J/B. It has a phenolic tip, too. Breaks unbelievable and I suck at breaking.

Plus, the jump part of the cue is easily 5" longer than a normal jump cue and it makes it easier for me to jump balls because I need that extra length. I couldn't jump with my Frog at all.

If you know someone who has one, ask to try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Jericho Stinger. Breaks awsome and is the best jump cue i've ever used. Only downside is that its far to pretty for a break cue.
