Break cue.. the most over hyped cue in our bag?

if it raised your fargo rating i guess it had to mean that made you increase your runout percentage. how many times do you runout from the break more or win from the break more than before.
give us that stat. as you must have it to show your new cue increased your rating.

Man…I’m blown away by these answers. BK Rush has helped my break tremendously. Probably worth 20 Fargo points to my game.
I couldn't agree more! Especially since you really only need 1 cue for everything.

I use my bk rush to break, play and jump.

Everyone just overcomplicates their equipment.

We need @dr_dave to do a break cue analysis!
why? i think everyone knows that a dedicated breaker, even lo-buck ones, get more power. I've A/B'd my J&J import against a couple hi-end ones and i didn't see much difference. Definitely not enough to warrant dropping big coin on one. One of my best breaking outings ever was using a pos semi-warped Valley barcue. Its more about the quality of the strike than power anyway.

No offense but exactly how would you quantify this? Did you keep break stats before and after or you're just guessing? I know break is important but i don't think you can put a number on it without some pretty good before/after #'s.

His Fargo went up 20 points after two weeks of using his bk rush

please tell me how you get more quantified power out of a break cue as opposed to the same weight from another cue.

Well you are past the one myth that soft tips do not put more spin on the cue ball, but you have fallen to another myth that says expensive chalk spins better than say master chalk. Dr Dave did a spin test with master all the way up to Taom and found that all the chalk generally grabs the cue ball equally, it's just that the more expensive chalk doesn't dirty up the pool table like a cheaper brand of chalk. As far as putting spin on the ball, they are pretty much all equal.
Dang it! Thanks for pointing that out. Back to masters baby!
