I am currently in the market for a good cheap break cue. I have narrowed my search down to Fury or J and J... let me know your experience, it would be very useful to help with my decision. Thanks for your help...

I have a J&J that I use in leagues. Don't really know what to say except that it does what it was designed for. The shaft is really thick and seems pretty stiff. However, I think a thinner shaft is better for me as I seem to get more control on the cue ball. I like the Lucasi break cues but since this thread is about cheap ones I don't think you can go wrong with the J&J for around $100. Mine is the J/B version too and it actually jumps pretty decent.

Break cue

I have a J&J break/jump cue, plus I bought one for my brother. I have 2 shafts for mine, with a phenolic tip, and I put a super dud tip on the other shaft. It breaks real good, and jumps pretty good too. I consider it a bargain. I think the last one I got for my brother was $65. Can't go wrong for that price.

finish

i have had both and both do the job well the only thing i have noticed over time the j&j finish last longer
