Break for a 10-year old

It has more to do with how long he's been playing than his age as there have been plenty of kids at 10 who have run centuries. With that said, there are plenty of adults playing every week who aren't putting up 20 breaks, so I'd give him plenty of encouragement.

i don't know about plenty......ronnie o'sullivan apparently didn't make his first until he was 10. and he started early. someone must have sawed the legs off the table for him to practice.

I don't mean to say that it's easy or typical, just far from unheard of. My point is only that I can't make an insinuations regarding his son's talent from a high break unless it was 50+.

BUT, if he's only playing casually amongst family with limited experience then 23 is a very good start. Imagine what he could accomplish with a little practice and proper coaching. Assuming he is interested of course.
