JC
Coos Cues
I am building a couple simple break/Jump cues for the first time.
Do you guys turn down the two butt pieces to final size individually and then install the joint pin and insert as you would a butt and shaft or install the joint and turn it down as one piece.
That is assuming after installing the joint it's dead nuts straight screwed together. Which I expect these to be as they had no wobble before I cut them in half and I'm just rejoining them at the cut precisely as I would a shaft. But I have carbide mandrels for the shaft size and not here.
They are about .050 OS right now.
Thanks,
