Break Jump Cue

I generally use a break cue lighter as my playing cues. I like break cues between 18 and 19oz. A break cue have'nt to be too heavy, so you can give it much speed (acceleration). It's also easier to control the CB. Just my 0.02$

Is there any advatage in a havy Break Jump Cue?

This might turn to another meaningless Physics rantings, but billbOK suggestion of using a lighter break cue than playing cue makes sense as you can accelerate a lighter break cue better. Just make sure you have a firm grip on the cue.

I guess that if you play with 19oz cue than your break cue should be 18.5 or so!!!

That's what I prefer and will advertise if someone ask it to me... a bit lghter as the playing cue.

Yet Busta, Da Luna and Archer break with a cue heavier than their playing cues. Interesting..................

To me the weight of the break cue is subjective. Use what weight gives you the better results. Everybody is built different. For example, I am 6' tall with wide shoulders, so using a 58" cue to break with I am holding the cue at the vary end so using heavier cue 20.5 oz provides me with better cb controll.

I'm 6' and a half and break with 18.5oz cue and I'm holding it easily 10 inches from the butt end. That's how I've got the better break. Honestly, when I'm practicing regulary I've got a killer break !

You're right it's subjective ! It's just my experience. :)

Both of mine are 19oz.
One was a gift so I had no choice.
The other was only in stock in a 19, so I bought it cheap.

I don't think it would make a difference with me if they were 18 or 20.

I like the feel of both of them, and they both perform great.:D
