Break Rak apparatus

When I get tired of racking while practicing the break, I set out a ball on the spot to simulate the 9-ball break & set out the 2nd ball to practice the 2nd ball 8 ball break.

What advantage would be provided by the Break Rak apparatus? Or is it a waste of money?

its the best device in the game for your break! hands down. do your self a favor and bye one!:D
 
I have one and the attachments to fit 7ft-8ft-9ft tables. *for sale*
 
I want one because it is supposed to help you practice "parking the cueball" in the middle of the table. I've practiced with one ball and a jacket to weight it down but I'm only getting power practice. This device mimics the weight of a rack so you can practice cue ball control.

Does anyone know how much they are?
 
I do not use mine alot but when I do I notice an improvement

I think action rooms should all have one and rent it out for an extra buck or 2 per hour.

I think it is work the cost

I have not seen or used one of these in person. I researched
one a while back. I believe the biggest advantage comes
from the time you save, compared to racking the balls
every time. I can see this being a *real* advantage, and
would take a lot of the boredom and effort out of practicing
the break.

I also remember reading, but I do not know if it is true, that
a few folks have been injured using this device. I do not
know what would happen if you inadvertently hit one of
the "shock" cords instead of one the balls! I can only
imagine you'd probably have to duck real quick.

Now and then I see one pop up here or on ebay, and I've been
tempted to get one. I think there are a few threads here about it also.
 
Another advantage is that you always simulate a tight rack. You can work on your rhythm and timing faster so you can immediately make changes as you notice them. It is the best training aid out there for anyone looking to improve their breaks.
 
It's a great device... I have had Purdman's for more then a year now... I really got to get it back to him...

I've said this many times before, but I'll say it again. The Break Rak is one of the best teaching aids on the market. I think every instructor should have one.

Some people don't have problems with their break, so they may think it's a waste of money. But, a learning aid for the break is really aimed for those of us who could use the help.

Hello folks, I'm the BreakRAK man.

First off, I will make a statement here. I've never heard of someone being injured using my invention. If that is true, I would have appreciated being told. Please remember that a monkey can hurt himself with a rubber hammer.

Secondly, the BreakRAK is a good Training Aid. There are several reasons I designed this for myself, the first being that I could use it to develop good rhythm & coordination via repetition. I soon learned that accuracy & speed are by products of good address, good rhythm & fine tuned coordination. Just as in any sport. Pros use it, Pool Schools use it & 1400+ amatuers use it.

Every customer is offered "customer satisfaction" or their money back. The poster "CRAIG" above is the first time I've seen or heard of anyone selling their BreakRAK.

The only reason Im selling mine is I dont have room for my home table anymore, due to a business purchase that takes up the space in the basement now.

And at my local poolroom the owner will not allow the BreakRak on his tables. Bar none it is a great product.

I am very pleased with my BreakRak. Charley is a super dude to deal with and the BreakRak has helped with my Break tremendously.

Any time I start to lose whitey, I pull out the BreakRak and get my accuracy back rather quickly. Not a waste of money IMHO.

I cannot imagine getting injured from a Breakrak as another poster mentioned, it is a VERY simple device to set up.
