Hello guys,

I wanted to hear your opinion on the DVD set created by RunoutMedia
http://runoutmedia.com/breakandrun.html

The $90 price tag is a little pricey for me and I would like to have some feed backs from people who bought it and watched it. Is this set worth the money? I am an intermediate player, I can break and runout occasionally on 8,9,10 ball, I am looking for more consistency in my games. Would this DVD help my needs to become a more consistent player? I know practice is the key but I just don't have the time to hit the pool hall too often. Please let me know what you guys think about this DVD set.

Thank you!

IMO The quality of DVD is well done but the content is very limited in value. Not even close to $90 in value. The same producers did the series with Mika Immonen and it was very well produced compared the one you are considering. It was interesting listening to the pros but they offered nothing worth paying for. ie/Alex Pagulayan explaining banks was a complete waste of time considering his talent .

i agree with callshot. alex talked for about a minute on his banking/kicking method. and then spent a few more minutes showing off/bragging with safe kicking etc. its more or less each pro in the vid breaking and running a rack. with little explanation. definitely not worth the 90 in my opinion.

While the production quality is good, I didn't seem to get much out of it. Just can't recommend it.

The section on racking/breaking was the most useful in my opinion - assuming you haven't seen either of Joe Tucker's DVD's on the subject. Listening to some of the guys try to explain what's happening was painful (*coughDazcough*). Not sure it was worth $90 - but if you can find it used for around half, it's worth it.

The last disc, with the guys breaking and running out, explaining what they're doing - the patterns they're choosing and how their plan changes based on results was nice too.

You can tell throughout the disc that no one had any sort of agenda on the topic they were given, and literally just did it between matches (iirc, this was shot during a US Open tournament).
