I'm thinking about buying the Break Speed app on my iphone 4S but was reading the reviews and it sounds like it doesn't work on the iphone 4. Does anyone else have it on the 4S and does it work on it?

Great app!

I use it on my 4S and it's great, it helps a lot, especially if you are trying NEW shafts, cues, break styles,speed...etc. ...it helps you FEEL what's going on....

I second that. It gives you another target to shoot for. Once you've used the app for a while, you can semi-accurately guess your speed. After that, you can reverse it, and try for a target speed, based on what you've learned from the app.

For me, it's another target I can use to control my break. I might pick 20 mph for example, and try to reproduce that click-clack sound that I've learned to associate with 20 mph.

It's a great tool to help you hone your breaks.

Settings

I tried this app it said I broke at 38.8 mph

Check your settings carefully, if you're breaking on a 7 footer and have 9 foot selected, it will overstate your speed.

Also, I have an iPhone 4 and have no issues running the app.

Bar box

No bar box setting :-(

Mine goes from3' X 6' bar box up to 6' x 12' snooker.
I am using IPhone 4S. I have had no issues with the app make sure it is on or near the rail of the table. Size and break location set properly and you will be good to go.

I had it set on the right table size, something must have thrown it off. Its clocking me at 16.8 -17.5 now which seems a bit low for me. Maybe I am just off today :)

I have it on an iPhone 5 and I can't seem to get it to work right. It says that the majority of my breaks are between 19 and 20 mph. This cannot be correct since I can tell that I'm breaking at somewhere in the neighborhood of Mach 3.
