break with an ob-1 with a kamui black soft?

hello all,
i shoot with a joss,and have a separate break cue that i use so i dont mushroom my playing tip.
i just purchased an ob-1 with a kamui black soft tip for my player and am wondering if ts ok to break with this setup.
i have a friend who uses this setup(i believe) for breaking as well as shooting.
am i going to get mushrooming?

Should be fine for 1pocket.;)

rotation games I would say not your best choice, but who knows how hard you hit em/ how much equipment or performance matter to you...

You can jog in boots, but should you?
 
i play both 8 and 9 ball and i do break pretty hard.so i guess maybe the question is moot.
 
Not recommended, that ferrule will not stand up to breaking for very long.
 
OB-1 and OB Classic Differences

I'm looking for more info on the differences between these two shafts from those of you that have played with them both.

I currently have a Tiger X Pro which is nice but I don't like the 11.75 tip. I prefer a 12.75 tip and am considering these two so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
 
I have been breaking with mine periodically and do not see any mushrooming. When I am at home playing, I just get lazy and don't pull my break cue from my case.
 
Not sure about being able to break with the OB shaft. I had one of their break shafts and it appeared similar to the OB1, but I cannot say whether the internal design is the same.

As far as the Kamui soft, it is fine to break with. I break about 21 mph avg and I used to break with mine with no problems. I haven't had one mushroom yet. The only issue I found is that breaking caused the tip to wear faster, causing a tip change more often. If you're ok with that then I wouldn't think you have any problems.
