Breakrak question

Looking to buy a Breakrak, but before I do, I have a question/concern. Does anyone know if the Breakrak is effective for 8,9, and 10 ball breaks? It seems like the resistence from each rack would be different, resulting in different reactions of the cue ball. Is there an adjustment for resistence of each rack?

Thanks in advance

I don't think it matters that much for 9 and 10 ball. 8 ball, I'm not sure.

its the absolute best $$ you can spend on a training piece of equipment. It helps your stroke, which you can then adjust for what ever game/table conditions you need. Thats how SVB got his break so good, was using a Break Rack for years, I dont get paid to sell them or favors. I'm speaking from the heart. I asked SVB the same question. My break has never been good, it got better 10000% after I got one and used it, I'm about to set it up again(i havent had a box at home for a while)

I have owned a break-rack for a few years. Great piece of equipment and it will improve all your breaks. It gives you an opportunity to practice that high speed stroke over, and over again.

Just one important thing, thebreak-rak will not give you feedback on how good your scatter is, how well you pocketed balls. What it does is gives feedback on how squarely yoou hit the rack and the cueball reaction. Control is most important and speed is to be added as control improves.

Resistance doesn't play as big a role as you might think. You never really get the full mass of a rack in resistance because no rack is ever perfect. The BreakRak I own is the weight of a 9 ball rack. The BreakRak will respond more consistently than any real rack ever could. Building consistency and power in your break shot is why you are buying it. If you shoot down the center at a BreakRak and the cueball hops back at you every time, it will do it with a real rack no matter what size it is. The same applies with a cut break. Plus Charlie Bond is an excellent individual to do business with.

I intend to buy another one at some point myself. I want one of the new models.

There is no replacement for the variability in a rack of balls. The BreakRak is more for training your mechanics and addressing of the head ball; as others have said.

Thanks Eric for your kind words.... I just now saw the thread.

The BreakRAK was invented to help me develop a good Break Shot, it wasn't invented to sell. However, after my break shot impressed some of my buddies, they wanted one too. Then their friends wanted one & a hobby-business was born. Eleven years later, I'm a businessman & getting to go to the Big Tournaments & hang out, plus I'm helping players around the planet, learn to play better POOL.
