Breakrak

Is this gizmo worth the money? Any other breaking aids out there worth having? Thanks.

Hey Fliedout, I have one you can try out as soon as I get it back from Icon of Sin. You might want to try it before you buy it! Maybe you can hook up with him and pick it up.

Thanks. BTW, are you planning to be at Cascades on Sat.? Saw Myron there this weekend and we played a little.

I think it depends where your game is. I've a friend who has one who loves it because he loves having a big break. I've other things to work on before I spend hours working on my break so I haven't bothered with it ... yet.
From everything I hear it works. So just decide how important your break game is to you at this point and you've made your own decision.

John

I have one as well and could bring it out next time.
We could always set up one table to practice breaking on.
You could then decide if having one at home will be to your advantage.
I do like it and have used it several times.

I have been working on the pool room Myron. I am hoping Mechanic/Player is comming up to recover, or at least take a look at my Gandy. Things are looking good in Yogi's cave! ;) I hope to play some this weekend.

Hey there Fliedout, it's me Charley Bond of the BreakRAK company. The BreakRAK is used by almost 3 dozen Professionals, a dozen or more Pool Schools, 3 dozen BCA independent Instructors & more than 700 players.

To this date, no one has ever asked for their money back.

Hey there Purdman, your BreakRAK is 3 years old, you should send it in to be upgraded.

There is no magic in a BreakRAK, the magic is in you.

Humans learn precision skills, through repetition (practice). Racking balls is not Break Shot practice, it's racking practice. Once you develop an accurate delivery & cue ball control, you will have a good break shot.

Good Luck to you....

IMO, this is easily the best breaking training aid available.

Flie-man,
I would agree with Cornerman....definitely worth the money....I hate racking balls. You get more breaking practice in 5 minutes a day with the breakrak than you could any other way. I like it.

P.S. - Now all Charley has to do is find a decent radar gun to market. C'mon Charley - WE WANT A RADAR GUN!!!!!

I have found it to be a very valuable tool as well.. With all of the money that I have spent on cues and such, the Breakrak is a bargain. I only break it out every several months but I find it to be a great tool and as Willie.. said, I hate to rack too. That is why I have not made it to Indy to play in the Betmore basement.. LOL! I am sure you will be glad that you purchase one if you do..
BTW, Charley Bond is a super nice gentleman to deal with as well. jbk

When is Mechanic/Player coming by to recover your table?
I need to get contact information to him being that I will have a table in my new home one day...
Plus Madison is just outside of his home area of Charlottesville.

Talk to you soon,
Myron

Charley is great guy who takes care of his customers.
I received my Breakrak as a gift for Christmas and Charley went the extra mile to ship it to my fiancee.
Had the pleasure of meeting Charley (who was in the company of Joe Tucker) at VF this past spring as he had the Breakrak set up on a table.
Great tool for working on the mechanics of breaking.
