Brickyard people

Beckley and Nesli were giving 3 to 10 I believe. Lost the first set but looked to be in control of the next when I walked away. I was setting there watching that and the JL match for quite a while next to Big Steve.

I didnt realize that was you playing Bobby, I was there waiting for the table when you guys finished.

I also heard someone joking about you getting the bye, I think the words were "like he needs it" LOL :D

Knifley won his match with JL, he played strong. He also crushed me in the first round of the tourney. I never really got a chance to get anything going, hung one seven ball but other than that he really controlled the match to the point that I couldnt do much LOL.

Thanks

That would explain why Mac ain't called me back yet. I left a voicemail at his office. He must have slept in this morning. My guess is, the finals went 2 sets and lasted til the early morning hours. When it gets down close to the end, and all the cash is on the line. I like Brian in this format. Guy has played some great pool over the years I've known him.

Finals

These are really bad details .........who won the freakin tournament .....?

Man, did I pick it wrong. Apparently, Dee played a really good set, {he usually does} and beat Brian in the finals of the loser side. He needed to beat Tom D'alfonso twice. Dee won the first set 9-2, and Mac said they both started to unscrew their sticks. So, they have a co-champion for this year. They made an agreement, and I am sure they got the ok from those involved in the calcutta, to split if Dee won the first set.

Mac also said, that with 9 less players than the one in spring, Brian Groce managed to raise the same amount in the calcutta. With only 12 players remaining on Sunday, the 2nd calcutta was roughly $2000 total. Congrats fella's on some great play.

Hopefully for the next tournament they will look at a calendar before scheduling the event.

Yea

Hopefully for the next tournament they will look at a calendar before scheduling the event.

I'm sure they will. Still turned out pretty good though. Around $9000 in calcutta money, plus, I think they added the full $1500 even though it was 9 short of full field.

Brickyard guys have definitely supported the players since they took over from the Airport. Tommy, Bill and all have made that room a destination and it show since they are getting some players.
