Bridge hand and stroke

I noticed that when I put my hand bridge on the rail i feel pretty confident in my stroke ( even if my stroke is not that good), but when i put my hand bridge on the surface of the table i feel my stroke totally off. Obviously this doesn't help my game because i don't feel confident and i don't focus very much on the shot. What could be? Is not like the cue doesnt slip on my hand but looks like my stroke is much more rigid and not loose. I always use an open bridge.

Try setting your bridge hand BEFORE you set your body.

Golfers put the club-face to the ball before they set their feet.
It's like working a problem out backwards...reduces guess-work
