Here are some photo's of a Brunswick 26 1/2 in the begining stages of conversion. The cue was identical to the cue above it before I began.

These cues are later model 26 1/2 cues. The earlest ones only had two veneer's over the cues points. However, these have four colored veneer's over the cues points.

According to the Brunswick decals on these cues, they are certainly early versions of the brunswick Willie Hoppe Titlist, and pre-date the first true Titlists by ten year's.

If anyone has additional information, I would be greatful

The top cue has a Green lable with a Red Center 1926-1939 and the bottom cue has a Gold over Red Center Lable 1921-1925.

Currently I have a total of eight of these cues on hand!!

Enjoy

Hi Craig,

Here are some pics of mine:

Far left is a rosewood 26 1/2 4 veneer circa 1910 - 1915 with a MOP wedge butt - the earliest version of the original Titlist colors I have ever seen, original condition and amazingly straight.

2nd from left is an early Titlist, early 1940's, original condition and straight too.

The next two are 26 1/2's from the 1925 era, gold on solid red labels, one ebony and one rosewood. These two cues are restored and are just beautiful and dead straight after all these years.

I don't know that I've run into the two veneer cue, but I can tell you they were using 4 veneers way back.

Chris

PS - if you have any that are in restorable condition with decal intact, I am interested.

Thanks for the post Chris, and the additional information. I am going to include additional photo's of the cues I recently purchased. I may part with one Chris, PM me if you see anything you feel is restorable.

By the way Chris, these cues are also almost dead straight.
