Really still need to send you the 9' rosewood rails off my Brunswick Moderne... GF just went back to work after being laid off for 14 months so maybe able to funnel some mad money into a table fund and not just into bills and Outsville equiment.... What is entailed in taking the pockets down to 4 3/8" from 5"... I assume you extend and recut the subrail... New rubber and new cloth.... Since the Moderne predates the Centenial Wouldn't it have k66 on it so if I wanted it to play like a Diamond you would need to adjust the angle on the rail surface as well so the rubber has the nose at the right height using K55???

I spoke to you months and months back right before she was laid off so I have forgotten plenty.... I have diamond slates for the table and intend on changing the anchors in the rails as well so there are 4 anchor points instead of 3 along with the pocket and rubber changes......

Mark,

Great job, looks fantastic and I'm sure it plays even better. :thumbup2:It appears the rails on this table are Formica. How did you go about getting such a nice finish on them? I'm guessing they must have been in pretty nice shape to begin with.

Thanks, Steve

I just saw your other post in the Mechanic section and see that the rails are Walnut not Formica.

No Steve...the rails are new 1/4" cap walnut....not formica.
I use high gloss polyester finish on them....after a lot of other stain work and toning
Just looks like it in the pics.
But that's taking pics with my iPhone......the pics do the table no justice.....table really looks awesome and plays the same....I blocked all the slates....the table is really level.
This table looks so good....I'm starting to like the anniversary better than the centennials....well it's close.

Great looking table! I see it and imagine a high class pool hall with 16 of those beauties in there. Wouldn't that be something.. NO JUMPING ALLOWED would be my first rule..

Walk into the Cue Ball of Salem, Oregon. Other than the snooker & 3 cushion tables, all are anniversary or centennial tables. If I recall, 36 tables...take your pick.
