Finally got my Centennial 10 ft Snooker Table setup.

It is wearing a new 6811 Strachan Tournament 30 oz cloth.

Now I just have to figure out the spot placement, draw the D and balk line.

I have the original 2 1/8" Brunswick Snooker Balls (numbers on the colors) - would these be crystalite? and a set of Aramith 2 1/8 pool balls but I have to get them cleaned and polished before I play on it.

Thanks Scaramouche!

Is there a special pen that I should buy to do this?

The fellows who set it up were more familiar with 4 1/2 x 9's for pool and said he could mark it with a sharpie but I thought there might be a specific pen/pencil that I should use to draw the D and mark the baulk line?

Here's another site that shows the positions for a 10' table

You can get a Baulk Line pencil in black or white... but I haven't been able to find a US dealer for them or the balk line template markers...

Thurston has a straight edge and half-circle for a 10' table, but it's part of a kit (which also includes an Iron) for $340 US!!

You can get just the D for 14 pounds ($21 US)...

Other UK vendors have pencils and a different kind of device called a "marking out stick" for the D...

Table looks great! How is the lighting? Is it big enough to cover the table end to end consistently? I'm anxiously awaiting the refinisher to get back to me so I can get going on my set-up...

Yes the lighting is poor but I was in a rush - previous brass 3 light halogen fixture matched the brass stretchers on the Brunswick Prestige 4 1/2 x 9 but was a clash with the Centennial.

I refused to pay the price the local game stores wanted for a light and thought I could come up with someting better on Craigs list but I could not and could not wait as the install was scheduled.

I have a problem in that the room has two lights and fans one at each end and no electrical junction box in the middle.

I think I will make my own with the brushed nickel 'warehouse' lights at $34 dollars each that I saw in Home Depot. I think I can mount them on an 8' board and then hang it with chain forming a triangle to avoid the fan blades. I should have had this all figured out sooner but I wanted the table installed as the slates sat in my truck in the garage for 3 weeks!

This proves that you should never do anything in a rush!

Wow, that's a beauty. I grew up playing snooker. I miss it.

Please invite me over. You're welcome to come play on my 9' Anniversary. It should be a piece of cake after playing on that beast of yours.
