From the opinion of this installer, you are spot on.
By the way, I know that a number of table manufacturers moved operations to Vietnam, a few years ago. Of course, it was for cost savings. I'm fairly certain that Brunswick was one of them.
I have installed quite a few of the latest Brunswick tables, including the Black Wolf, the Black Wolf Pro, the Gold Crown VI, and the Parsons. ALL of them have fitment and quality issues.
One of the Black Wolf tables that I installed had the worst slate grind that I've ever seen.
The Gold Crown VI's have an absurd number of components. If I recall correctly, there are something like 26 boxes for all of the components.
Plus, all of the hardware for ALL Brunswick tables is just thrown in a single bag. No instructions.. Good luck... Hope that your installer can figure it out... Also, it seems to be common practice for them to include the incorrect hardware... For a few of the tables that I've done in the past few months, I've had to go to a hardware store to get the correct bolts, because they have included the incorrect size/length/quantity in the hardware kit.
If you have a warranty claim, good luck!
In short, the company needs to make a ton of improvements, across the board..... It's great that they are developing the Gold Crown VII, but they should be more concerned with improving the quality and customer service, for what they already produce.
