Ya, it actually feels more silicone related with the Ballstar stuff. You have to be careful picking multiple balls at once up out of the pockets. I don't have any of that with my Aramith cleaner, and they seem to play the same when freshly cleaned or after a couple hrs play.

Yup, it sounds like your friend is using crap.

However, if I clean my cue ball, it draws a lot better for a while due to the chalk/scuff marks being gone. Maybe I should change to one of those $30 chalks.

if you gamble use not so clean balls they throw more and since most under cut when they miss they will miss more often.
