Brunswick GC Question?

I found a Brunswick GC 8' in the paper for cheap and it is a 180 miles away from my location. I'd drive that far to pick it up if I knew for sure I wanted it but it's a bit far to go just to look at. The guy doesn't have the ability to email pics but he described it as wood grain on the rails and turquoise and creme on the sides. The color scheme sounds kind of...not good. My questions are, does anyone have a pic of a GC with this color scheme they can post or send me and what is it worth in good condition? I'd like to see a pic just so I could decide if I could live with a turquoise pool table:) I would appreciate the help.
 
They probably have been painted. I know of another brand of table that looks just like the GC. However you could always paint the parts that are creme and turquoise...LOLz
I wouldn't pay too much for it...$750.00 max.

Those were popular color scheme for GC's in the Ocean's Eleven days supposedly. I found one just like it.
If you check Brunswick's old catalog, that color scheme is prominently published. They even had those plastic liners at the bottom of the blinds.

Yah, it's a very 50's look and indicates it's an GC 1 or 2 model (Asusming it's an original factory paint job.) If you cleaned it up nice and had a 50's style games room they can look very nice if you like that kind of thing. Attached is a photo off a web listing for one to give you an idea. If it is an early model it will have the extra white plastic that covers the bottom of the corner pockets.

First off I would like to thank you guys for the input and pic. After careful consideration, yep...I hate it. I just don't think the color scheme would work well in the pool room I'm trying to put together. I'm a barbox shooter and that's what I play on for the most part. I currently have a Dynamo Top Brass barbox. I just moved into a slightly larger house that will accomodate an 8 footer. I wish I could get a 9 but it just won't fit. If anyone knows of someone with an 8' table who needs to downsize to a barbox (or wants to buy one) in the Nebraska area let me know. Thanks for your help.

If I thought I could paint the turquoise with out it looking hoaky I'd give it a shot. Is it actual wood with turquoise paint or is it some kind of formica or something? If it is paint I could probably strip the turquoise off and stain or repaint it.

You can paint it,and it will look nice.Most that you see have been painted.I think it's a deal at that price.I gave $1250 for a Pro 8 set up
with new cloth.
 
Great tables

I have owned one of these tables and they play great. Also very easy to paint this any color you want. Plus you said it was cheap, so it would be hard to go wrong.

They're just wood.
Easy to sand with a hand sander.
Hand pain it, you's done.
